J.W. Webb Marketing Strategy
J.W. Webb is the talented author behind the Legends of Ansu fantasy series. In the summer of 2025, he released a new installment to the saga, entitled Archer’s Moon, which is a prequel to the series. He needed help promoting the book with two primary goals:
- Encourage new readers to enjoy the series from the start
- Invite long-time fans to revisit the saga

To start, we collaborated on an overall marketing strategy, including a rough timeline for guiding readers through the awareness, consideration, and action stages of the marketing funnel. I provided a 6-month guideline for what types of content to create and when in order to generate the desired results. As we progressed through the timeline, I utilized data to further refine the marketing strategy.
This marketing strategy relied on social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram. First, I performed extensive research to create a target audience for advertising on Meta performance. The audience included detailed demographic and behavioral targeting across multiple countries. This audience also helped guide the design process to appeal to the appropriate audiences.
Each month, I created 4 social media ads; some were photos, some were videos, and others were carousel posts. One such post was a 9-slide carousel post showing the history of Ansu. Other posts showcased the series’s lore and characters, while others included clips of an interview with the author. I also used Meta’s advertising features to generate thousands of new visitors to his website, as well as the Amazon listing for Archer’s Moon.
